NEXT MARKET DAY - OCTOBER 9th

Our first (in what we hope to be a regular) ONCE-A-YEAR-EXPO-IN-THE-PARK is Saturday October 9th, 2010 from 9am until 3pm held at EINBUNPIN LAGOON (Sandgate).   Come along to the Lagoon Park and meet the artisans who create unique artwork, including handcrafted items for sale. There will be activities for the kids and workshop demonstrations.  Bring the family, you won’t be disappointed. If you would like to be a stallholder, please call to guarantee a space.

Artist of the Month.

Every month we will be featuring the work of a student from our many different art classes. If you wish to join a class please click on the link at the top of the page to find out more.

This month our featured artist is Steven Noel.

Steven (pictured below centre) has been a regular visitor to Artrageous for the past 18 months. He is currently enrolled in our Thursday afternoon Painting Class and has a preference towards the Arylic Medium. Born and bred in the Brisbane region, he spent a few years out at the "Alice" only to return to Boondall 6 years ago. Steven has an interest in the cosmos and has recently painted "It's Out There" his representation of the Andromeda Galaxy (below left). Steven celebrates his 42nd Birthday this month and Team Artrageous takes this opportunity to wish him "Happy Birthday". Steven's latest creation is still a work in progress and is yet to be named (below right).

All sorts of items are transformed once the creative process is in full swing.

For those of you who are hanging onto 'stuff' in the hope you may one day find a use for it, why not pop along to Craftrageous on Fridays between 9am and 12noon. We have 2 experienced crafters on hand to assist you with any creative endeavour...or perhaps you'd like to learn something new?... or share a skill? ...we would love to hear from you.
